OK, guys and gals, time to talk business. And I mean we’re talking about whether or not you’re fine with an embargo for spoiler-filled, long prose reviews about The Grand Tour.
What I’m limiting will be reviews about the episode that are over 100 characters long . Things like “The Grand Tour ROCKS!!!” or “It was good.” or “It was amazing”, or “Meh” or “TGT sucks worse than TopGear Mk3" all fine by me, so long as there are no spoilers.

People who want to talk about it don’t post spoilers in the title and in the first paragraph, people who don’t want to know about it just don’t click on Gran Tour stuff... Easy.

It was a decent first episode. As with New Top Gear it will take a bit of time to adjust to the new setting of the show. The premise remains the same. Opening sequence is indeed spectacular and it’s crazy how May flips his buggy and the MIG they hired takes it as a sign of aggression and quickly kills him. I wonder how they’ll continue filming without him. Solid 3 out of 4 stars.

An embargo would be silly. It’s hard to see what you could spoil about a Top Gear style show. It’s harder still to imagine what you could ruin for anyone in the blurb that appears on the Oppo main page. If the experience will be ruined for you because you know what cars they looked at or something, then maybe stay away from car sites for a day, just as you would stay away from sports sites to avoid seeing the score of a game that has already happened.
People are going to want to discuss the show, and they should be able to.

Was there ever an embargo for TopGear?
There was always a delay for TGUK before they were broadcast on BBCAmerica, and whatever I read on the front page, or here never “spoiled it” for me. Sure, I knew Schumacher pretended to be the Stig, and I new they were dropping pianos on cars, but it didn’t spoil the episode.
It isn’t like a sporting event where you know the outcome. A single headline or a lede image won’t spoil anything.
You can still enjoy it.

Well since this is on Amazon, wouldn’t that mean that all episodes will release on day one? I dont know about you guys, but I dont plan on binge watching the whole season in a day or two. I will likely want to watch just a couple episodes per week so that it lasts some time. I have no issues with reviews/memes all over the place though, its not like there is going to be a arching storyline (or any at all) to the show lol.

Nope - this is one of the first shows from a streaming service that will not release all the episodes at once. I think if they didn’t have a studio component they could do it, but it would probably be too much to ask to keep each studio audience quiet for that long.

Oh shit, yeah that is a first! The wait-a-week thing is going to be tough if the show is any good. This is why I like picking up old shows with 5+ seasons. It takes a real long time to run out of episodes.

I picked the last one, but really I’m not even going to watch it because I don’t have time for TV. So maybe a “don’t care” option would be best.
